ReyJamonico The new Mendeley Reference Manager does not support Libreoffice https://service.elsevier.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/28677/supporthub/mendeley/~/is-mendeley-cite-available-for-libreoffice%3F/
Could you please maintain this Mendeley Desktop AUR until the LibreOffice plugin be available?
Thank you

I will maintain this until it stops working, but this package should be considered "legacy" and the new Reference Manager (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mendeley-reference-manager) preferred.

Sends one CPU to 100% utilization when run and killed with i3 window manager.
Doesn't happen run and shut down from terminal (sigint)
mendeleydesktop-bundled 1.19.8-1
Qt 5.15.3 in /usr/lib (don't know if this is important)
no idea what is causing this, just adding a data point

which: no gconftool-2 in (/home/yes/.local/bin:/usr/condabin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/lib/jvm/default/bin:/usr/bin/site_perl:/usr/bin/vendor_perl:/usr/bin/core_perl)
Unable to find gconftool-2. The mendeley:// link handler may not be installed correctly.
Mendeley Desktop will run normally. Some Web interactions might not work as expected (e.g. CSL Editor Save).
Install the package gconf2 to fix it. E.g. 'sudo apt-get install gconf2' or 'sudo yum install gconf2'.
Maybe gconf
should be added to optdepends.

I got undefined symbol when running mendeleydesktop
:
shell-init: error retrieving current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory
QtWebEngine::initialize() called with QCoreApplication object already created and should be call before. This is depreciated and may fail in the future.

It seems that Qt5.15 changed some function in libQt5WebEngineCore:
% nm -D qt/libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5.10 | grep processMain #in tar.bz2
0000000000758bd0 T _ZN11QtWebEngine11processMainEiPPKc@@Qt_5
% nm -D /usr/lib/libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5.15 | grep processMain
0000000000a1b460 T _ZN15QtWebEngineCore11processMainEiPPKc@@Qt_5
So I guess I cannot run mendeleydesktop
with Qt5.15?

The bundled version has several duplicate libraries instead of symlinks.
I've added the following lines in package_mendeleydesktop-bundled
to save ~129MB:
cd lib/qt
for f in libQt5DBus.so.5 libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5 libQt5WebEngine.so.5 libQt5WebEngineWidgets.so.5
do
rm $f
ln -s $f.10.1 $f
done
for f in libicudata.so.56.1 libicui18n.so.56.1 libicuuc.so.56.1
do
rm ${f%.*}
ln -s $f ${f%.*}
done
cd ../..

Hi @ali.molaei !
I think your TODO in the PKGBUILD got easier as now the file rm bin/install-mendeley-link-handler.sh
does not seem to exist ;-)
Cheers,

Got an issue here as the webimported wont open pds despite the association of mime type and selection on fifox file chooser. Any ideas about what can cause it?
The application reports: QFSFileEngine::open: No file name specified [0119/120502.827143:WARNING:stack_trace_posix.cc(648)] Failed to open file: /memfd:/.glXXXXXX (deleted) Error: File or directory not found

To avoid crashs when opening PDF's, and hangout on exit install
mendeleydesktop-bundled
which packages Qt provided by the upstream.
