@yochananmarqos i'm trying to build this on the modified alarm kernel for newer mac devices (trying to dodge search results) - I know issues for this officially shouldn't be mentioned on arch pages but considering aarch64 as architecture was mentioned and the error directly stated that aarch64 is not supported thought it's worth mentioning,

on to the solutions:

• adding the specified lines to pkgbuild does not work.
• mullvad-vpn-bin works normally.

Thanks for the latter solution! The former still throws the exact same error even though I successfully downloaded the necessary package:

Maybe try adding this in the prepare() function right after npm ci:

I haven't even been able to get that far building on my PineBook Pro. It fails building wireguard-go:

The package states it supports aarch64, but building on aarch64 I receive the error:

When I builded last version, there was an error: pkg_config failed: Failed to run "pkg-config" "--libs" "--cflags" "dbus-1" "dbus-1 >= 1.6": No such file or directory (os error 2)

After install package pkgconf error is gone.

Maybe there's a reason to include package pkgconf to make dependencies?

Got a bunch of errors with: rm: cannot remove '/var/tmp/pamac-build............

Had to manually remove these, then it worked: sudo rm -rf /var/tmp/pamac-build-evilmonkey/mullvad-vpn

@tirithen: Enabling a service symlinks it from /usr/lib/systemd/system/ to /etc/systemd/system/. DO NOT manually copy it there. I have no idea what is going on on your system, but it's not related to this package.

I'm getting a "Waiting for system service" message in the Mullvad GUI, on one of my Arch machines, even after enabling the service with systemctl.

I have previously used sudo cp /opt/Mullvad\ VPN/resources/mullvad-daemon.service /etc/systemd/system/mullvad-daemon.service to solve the problem but with the latest version 2022.5-2 this service file is no longer present.

Also now my internet becomes fully blocked without the ability to start the system service. Uninstalling and deleting all settings unlocks internet again.

How can I debug this to get the latest version of Mullvad up and running?
