Octopi won't start anymore: octopi: error while loading shared libraries: libalpm.so.13: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

@jsimon0, I removed the knotifications dependency for this package because it isn't needed for the qt5 version.

jsimon0 commented on 2023-10-20 20:30 (UTC)

Interestingly, removing this package, installing knotifications5, and then rebuilding and reinstalling this package works...ok

jsimon0 commented on 2023-10-20 13:21 (UTC)

By the way...

installing knotifications5 (5.111.0-1) breaks dependency 'knotifications' required by octopi-notifier-qt5

@Erill Fixed but require a PR on the upstream project...

the sed line should be changed to: sed -e "s|DEFINES += OCTOPI_EXTENSIONS ALPM_BACKEND #KSTATUS|DEFINES += OCTOPI_EXTENSIONS ALPM_BACKEND KSTATUS|" -i notifier/octopi-notifier.pro

I tried to build it with paru with no success. But if I build it manually with makepkg it builds successfully. Thanks. Still do not know why paru generates validity check error.

@mic Your trace indicates a shasums error but it is the correct one in the PKGBUILD.

When you build : Retrieving sources... -> Found octopi

When I build : Retrieving sources... -> Downloading octopi...

How do you build it? (makepkg, yay, trizen, ...)

Nevermind my previous issue, after matmoul's reply and seeing no one else had complained i realized it is an issue on my end, and it seems that the file /usr/lib32/libicui18n.so.73 was corrupted on my disk, re-installing lib32-icu fixed the problem. Sorry for bothering you!
