@bidossessi, Only got a notification for your latest message. Exactly thats what I meant. Thanks for the clarification! So the package sets up the associated users. I wasn't sure and just did it manually beforehand.

@jaw8621 Not beforehand. You can set the name/pwd of your Odoo DB user in the config file, once the package is installed. However, you do need to set it up before running the server, as the package won't do it for you.

hey, just a question, does this mean i will have to setup user and group "odoo" beforehand as stated in the odoo.service file?

I use enterprise version. It's in requirements file.
