Please modify the pgkbuild file. The link to opera-beta.deb has changed, the hash sums have apparently changed too.

I can install Opera successfully. If I launch it first time everything is correct, but second time I cant launch application. Process(es) is created, but I cant see the Opera GUI. After that I kill process(es), AND delete /home/myuserfolder/.config/opera-beta/Preferences and Preferences.backup files. After that I can run Opera (GUI launches) again and Preferences file will automatically be created again. So I always need to delete Preferences file if I want to run the Opera.

@locino Built again my version of PKGBUILD. No errors. You just split line 25, am I right? All configure options are in one line as you can see in pastebin. I just made copy from pastebin to juffed - and all is OK.

FarStar, did you take a look at the package version? Unflagging... Unless you have any secret information to share?

locino commented on 2014-10-03 13:17 (UTC)

@llya87 your pkgbuild does not work here is the fixed one

For those who updated to ffmpeg 2.4.1 I've created this AUR script which build ffmpeg 2.3.3 that is required for Opera's HTML5 support. Just unpack lib folder of built package to /home/my-name/ffmpeg-opera and run Opera from command line with LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/my-name/ffmpeg-opera environment variable. Or add LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/my-name/ffmpeg-opera to /etc/profile file and relogin.

Does anyone else have problems with the icon shipped with this version (25.0.1614.11-1) of opera? In several places (context menus, ...) it shows at horribly large scaling.
