This package is now build from the phpunit source. If you want to use the prebuilt phar file, which is released use the binary package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/phpunit-bin

@sanduhrs that helped, just wonder if the file is not downloaded when it changed...

sanduhrs commented on 2018-02-06 15:55 (UTC)

@the_10 The LICENSE file changed, you might have a cached version. Please try clearing pacaur caches.

latest version fails with pacaur, but still able to update with yaourt

pacaur tells me that LICENSE checksum fails

I get the following error after installation: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/modules/phar.so' - /usr/lib/php/modules/phar.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

The LICENSE file has been changed, so the checksum value no longer validates. Its current SHA512 checksum in the PKGBUILD validates against the previous version, 5.7.5. The latest release updates the copyright notice to add the current year and so changes the checksum to the value: a1899db182b9221aca64fd5a8952a56028786f9dbe4db78375d8e59075483b88a58c9cc68124bdaa2ebeb12340490b13cd5732b9e47ae5ed2d12703b6ffead2a

This has been regularly and promptly packaged since version 4.7.7 That includes more than 70 releases since then.

This version (4.7.0) gives a warning when loading a YAML dataset: "The ability to pass file names to the parse method is deprecated since version 2.2 and will be removed in 3.0. Pass the YAML contents of the file instead." Depending on configuration, these warnings can cause perfectly good tests to fail. The problem is already fixed in the latest release (4.7.7, MD5 sum: f7d59a6924b2e3ee35ab70a637451abc). BTW, why are the packaged versions always so out of date? Not keeping up with every release is one thing, but packaging x.y.0 when this is already several versions behind the latest release does not make sense to me.
