@codemutation You intend to change from a
-gitpackage to a-binpackage?Create the new package like you did the first. Then open a merge request to keep the comment history. The existing comment history wouldn't be relevant to the new package though, because it's about renaming the package.

Create a new package with the new name. Then open a deletion or merge request against this package. I don't see anything here that needs to be preserved. Since it's only a week old, there probably aren't many users.
If you want, while this package is waiting for deletion, you could turn it into a metapackage that redirects to the new package. That is what

Perhaps this package should switch to something like
polyglot-translate-gitorpolyglot-translator-gitbecause there have been many unrelated packages using the namepolyglot.polyglot-winboard-git- Among the first, a chess program, recently switched to providingpolyglot-winboard.polyglot- Previously a chess program. Then a python library for some API. Now no longer on AUR.polyglot-bin- A ChatGPT translation tool. In process of switching topolyglot-ai-bin.
