@mattboy9921 I started getting it too -- looks like it's an upstream problem affecting multiple electron applications that use sandboxing. For now, the workaround is to launch sms (either by terminal or editing your desktop shortcut) to "pulse-sms --no-sandbox"

I will keep tabs on the electron problem but it also appears that maplemedia is on its way to making Pulse SMS closed-source. The main code repo is 404'd and now only the release packages are available on github. So, I'll file an issue with maplemedia but I'm not certain about the longevity of this project anymore, at least on Linux.

@WonderWoofy, Thanks for catching this. I had hurriedly pushed the version bump without testing first. Only got one notification, anyhow.

I went with fixing the permission directly, since there was no easy way to fix this upstream, and I did not want to leave this in a broken state.

The file /opt/pulse-sms/chrome-sandbox apparently now needs to have permissions set to 4755 (or -rwsr-xr-x in non-octal format).

If anyone else thinks there is a better way to go about this, please feel free to comment. Since this is a repack of a deb, there's no build() to put a chmod into, so I figured this direct 'chmod 4775' was the least intrusive way to modify the permissions of just one file.

(These are simply the permissions indicated were needed in a stderr message when trying to launch from the terminal.)

I have decided to maintain this package. While I will try to be diligent about keeping pulse-sms updated, please flag this out of date if it is so.

I was using Android Messages for web, but I've found Pulse to be superior. Hope someone adopts this package! It's good stuff...

Since Android Messages for Web has released, I have no need for pulse-sms anymore. If anyone else would like to take over maintenance here, most updates are just bump the version number and update the sha512sum for the new deb file.

Just FYI, Pulse 2.3.0 was released on Github a couple of weeks ago.
