Can't run a test without adding the following at the end of the package() function: chmod +r ${pkgdir}/usr/lib/python*/site-packages/FiPy-${pkgver}-py*.egg-info/* Package is not out of date, sorry for flagging it as such.

An update regarding the new version of python2-numpy (updated in [extra] on 2013-03-13). With this new version (python2-numpy 1.7.0-2) and an up-to-date scipy and matplotlib (python2-scipy 0.11.0-4 and python2-matplotlib 1.2.1-1 as of 2013-03-30), I only got 6 failed tests, which haven't seemed to cause issues in actual use; I've run most of the examples on the FiPy home page. In addition to the above, I have mayavi-4.2.0-4, gmsh 2.7.0-1. This is with a PKGBUILD found at http://pastebin.com/X3NFbksV.

I emailed the fipy mailing list to ask about my issues with FiPy-3.0, and apparently, as of this writing (2013-Feb-25), FiPy doesn't work well with numpy-1.7.x. I went to the arch rollback machine (ARM), and got python2-numpy-1.6.2, and the corresponding versions scipy and matplotlib (python2-scipy-0.11.0-1 and python2-matplotlib-1.1.1-1) from the last release of python2-numy right before the 1.7.x upgrade. This caused me to have to recompile (uninstall then reinstall) pysparse from the AUR. Then with that set of the dependencies, I used a modified version of the PKGBUILD for FiPy, found at http://pastebin.com/YSuYUB8S. I know this isn't the ideal situation (and the PKGBUILD I made doesn't clarify which version of python2-numpy it works with), but if anyone needs to get FiPy running, this worked for me. FiPy is installed and all tests passed.

Hi, as far as I can tell, the source code for this package isn't actually hosted at matforge anymore, but at http://www.ctcms.nist.gov/fipy/download/FiPy-${pkgver}.tar.gz. I tried to modify the PKGBUILD to reflect the new location for the source, the new version (3.0), and the new sha1sum but when I run makepkg, then install the package, it fails a number of its self-tests. I tried installing pysparse, mayavi, and gmsh (fipy-recommended packages) in addition to the base dependencies listed, and I'm getting 10 failures in the self-test. Any thoughts? Thanks.
