It seems that newer versions of gcc have more rigorous check on some old C behavior, so the build breaks. Add the following line to
build()

As mentioned by others, the upstream URL is missing but I was able to install it by editing the PKGBUILD and changing the link to an archived one.

The URL does not work anymore (404) - looks like the gnome folks moved the sources to:
