@xyne - Think this release hosed authentication (or it's me): % aur -a -r -l $HOME/.aurploader Password: I have $HOME/.aurploader in the correct format: % cat $HOME/.aurploader graysky mypasswordgoeshere

Pacman's dependency on curl is not intrinsic and could change in the future. I would rather keep the explicit dependency. Besides, I'm the who always argues for fully explict deps in all packages. There is no excuse for a lack of robustness when it comes at a trivial cost.

After the post about aurcomment I realized that I still hadn't implemented proper cookie handling (it was on a todo list). I was just going to copy and paste the aurploader cookie management code but ended up writing a little cookie context manager class (in Aurploader.py). It should be useful for anyone who is writing scripts with the modules. After that I added proper argument parsing to aurcomment and then support for several other actions (voting, flagging, notification). Finally I renamed it "aurtomatic". Enjoy! p.s. posting this from aurtomatic

@simon04 I actually had added aurploader to the description but it seems that I had forgotten to upload it afterwards. I have updated it again to include aurquery and aurcomment. Thanks for the feedback!

Please state in the description that this package provides aurcomment, aurploader, aurquery to make findable when searching for e.g. aurploader. Suggestion: A Python 3 module to retrieve and cache data from the AUR. => A Python 3 module to retrieve and cache data from the AUR (provides aurcomment, aurploader, aurquery). Thanks for the nice program as well as this package!

@graysky sha512 + md5? What's wrong with that? You can include all of the checksum arrays if you want, no?

graysky commented on 2013-02-13 22:29 (UTC)

@Xyne - Check PKGBUILD for double checksum arrays.

The package now installs the comment example script as "aurcomment". Usage: aurcomment <pkgname> [<pkgname>...] I may add some other example scripts later.

Merging into python3-aur. Please migrate if you haven't already.
