@pekarr,

Ah yes, of course, that's the problem.

Thanks!

@Wild_Penguin do you have an old xfun installed in your user's local R library (typically under $HOME/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library/4.4)? That might get loaded instead of the system version managed by pacman. If that's the case, you probably want to remove it from the user library.

Hi,

for some reason I'm getting this:

Error in loadNamespace(j <- i[[1L]], c(lib.loc, .libPaths()), versionCheck = vI[[j]]) :
  namespace ‘xfun’ 0.47 is being loaded, but >= 0.48 is required

Despite r-xfun-0.49-1 being installed.

EDIT: FWIW, I get this even if I try to compile without makepkg. So it seems the problem is not with this PKGBUILD but with r-knitr sources, r-xfun installation or R installation.

Anyone having the same problem?

Yes, the r-tinytex package is out-of-date. You can locally update the r-tinytex PKGBUILD to version 0.36 by changing the _cranver=0.35 line to the new version and updating the checksums. Or you could build r-knitr with --nocheck makepkg option (assuming you are trying to install this package) as r-tinytex is only needed for running package tests (dependency for r-rmarkdown).

The tinytex_0.35.tar.gz package isn't in the address. It gives Object not found! error message. The tinytex package I found is tinytex_0.36.tar.gz. How to resolve this?

Further maintenance and support for this package has been moved there. You can install pre-built packages from my repo
