I added the missing checksum. If it isn't working for your rom, maybe try to set the line to SKIP or run updpkgsums. I thought user are able to run updpkgsums by themselves. Because the checksum could be different, if you copy the game from your n64-cartridge.

You can change the language in the game menu.

I was having issues with this baserom.us.z64 business as well. It was giving me an invalid URL error. So after running I edited the PKGBUILD by deleting "file://baserom.us.z64" from the source array being sure to keep ')' so it doesn't break it. I then grabbed my legitimately obtained copy of a rom of the us version of sm64, renamed that to baserom.us.z64 and shoved it in the src directory with everything else and was able to build with makepkg.

Because of all the SHA256 stuff (I don't understand half of it because I'm a huge newb), I'd just recommend using --skipinteg when running makepkg.

Thanks for making this PKGBUILD, just wondering why the SHA256sum for the baserom.us.z64 is different than some of the other sm64 packages here in the AUR.

For instance the sm64ex-us-git uses 17ce077343c6133f8c9f2d6d6d9a4ab62c8cd2aa57c40aea1f490b4c8bb21d91 which is what I have.

EDIT: Looks like the PKGBUILD is just missing the seventh SHA256sum line. Once the above is added it works just fine.
