Well that didn't last long! Thanks, it wasn't a negative thing, I just am not in a position to maintain this as effectively as somebody else (woot kidoz!).

Thanks Ernie, the community appreciates what you did to maintain it.

I haven't used this app in over a year, was maintaining it out of courtesy, I've since disowned it.

There is a bug in the application file. The Icon path has "/usr/lib/RubyMine/..." but the directory under /usr/lib is "RubyMine-<version>" and not "RubyMine". Also, it looks like RubyMine 4.5 was just released.

Icon's don't go in the bin directory, why the request? Is there a bug?

ilpianista commented on 2012-04-20 13:40 (UTC)

Please change the icon path to: Icon=/usr/lib/RubyMine-4.0.3/bin/RMlogo.svg

@Rogof I patched in the icon and symlink fix, it installs quite nicely now thanks. The Java-runtime can be satisfiable by either jre+jdk or openjdk. If you have just jdk or just jre installed, when you install this it'll attempt to install openjdk. Install a complete java env or clean up yours and try again.

Good to see new contributors, keep it up. A few things: It needs jdk, or java-environment if you want to let the user choose between openjdk/jdk+jre. About the icon, some packages places application icons in '/usr/share/icons/hicolor', in this case you can either symlink or copy 'RMlogo.svg' in '/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps'. Also, your symliks are wrong, to fix it drop the first '${pkgdir}', like this: ln -s "/usr/lib/${_realpkgname}-${pkgver}/bin/rubymine.sh" "${pkgdir}/usr/bin/mine"
