SilverIRC's git is down until further notice. This package has been updated to use github's sources from now on.

kalantir commented on 2014-02-16 08:25

So, I don't know if you've noticed, but installing this package gives a warning "WARNING: Using a PKGBUILD without a package() function is deprecated."
It's easy enough to ignore this warning, however those of us who have opted to start using pacman-git for the improved optional dependency handling are now faced with an error rather than a warning; "ERROR: Missing package() function in" ...

Again, probably easy to ignore since most of you aren't using pacman-git yet. However, the sooner this gets resolved the better. Thanks in advance.

It's down again

KittyKatt commented on 2014-01-16 07:30

Apologies for downtime on the GIT server. Fixed.

applebloom commented on 2013-10-02 19:18

The build function could be split into two: prepare() and package(). The later should contain last three commands, and the former the rest. This way you won't get the message that "Using a PKGBUILD without a package() function is deprecated." and makepkg -o would work correctly.

fatal: unable to connect to[0: **.**.**.**]: errno=Connection refused

This seems to be a continuing problem ...... please fix.

aminb commented on 2013-06-30 13:24

xorg-xprop must be a dependency for this, since the program uses xprop to gather information about DE, Themes, etc. Please add it.

Really? Hm. Interesting. It's up for sure. I'll check it out more tonight.

I've switched repository names on SilverIRC's git. Now screenfetch.git instead of screenfetch-dev.git.

KittyKatt commented on 2012-08-09 22:49

Be warned, versioning has changed for this package. I'm starting to use the commit dates. However, I'm not EXACTLY sure how to make pkgver just accept the last commit date, so I'm currently setting it manually.

KittyKatt commented on 2011-09-27 19:03

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I'll see what I can do about that.

anonymous_user commented on 2011-08-11 14:49

Can you fix the PKGBUILD so it builds correctly with makepkg? Although it build, pacman/makepkg fails to install the package:

Spyhawk, from the Arch forums, says the PKGBUILD has "an (ugly) workaround to "force" the package version (see line 33) in order to bypass the git version number, resulting in the failure of makepkg -sfi to install the package."

KittyKatt commented on 2011-02-09 16:42

Do you have i3 on your system? o.O The only reason it should detect i3 is if the i3 process is running.

hellnest commented on 2011-02-09 16:27

Something wrong with the WM Identification? I use xmonad but when run screenfetch it's detected as i3.

KittyKatt commented on 2010-12-14 02:15

Fixed. Updated tags and the background support has been re-enabled via -B flag.

KittyKatt commented on 2010-12-13 15:05

I may have just forgotten to push some tags. The update I mentioned in my last comment hasn't been done, by the way. Currently haven't had the time to do it. I have two finals at college today and then I'm done for the semester. After I get that off my plate, I can concentrate on this and my other projects.

BlackIkeEagle commented on 2010-12-13 15:02

euh, how it comes the version mentioned here is 2.2.4 and in the git tree it is 2.2.3 ?

KittyKatt commented on 2010-12-10 17:58

Oops. I forgot to finish that feature...I'll do that tonight and update this again.

Anonymous comment on 2010-12-10 08:34

i have a problem with the background detect, it says:
/usr/bin/screenfetch: line 412: : command not found
the line is:
if ("$background_detect" = "yes"); then

KittyKatt commented on 2010-10-07 14:35

Fixed PKGBUILD to correctly show version instead of date of last git commit.

KittyKatt commented on 2010-08-26 23:21

Added XMonad detection as per request.

Alright, guys, I've edited a more recent logo into screenfetch for Arch. The old logo is still available by using -D flag and 'Arch Linux - Old' as the argument. Cheers. :D

Thank you, i will wait for it :)

KittyKatt commented on 2010-07-22 19:51

Oh fine! I'll update the damn logo since everyone seems to have a problem with this logo.

dkorzhevin commented on 2010-07-22 08:17

Yes, it works for me, but i dont use it now because of old arch linux logo.

KittyKatt commented on 2010-07-17 23:50

So it's working for you now?

dkorzhevin commented on 2010-07-16 22:05

Seems that it was temporary error. After few attempts it fetch sources.

dkorzhevin commented on 2010-07-16 21:58

Sorry, but i have some errors when trying to build latest version today:

==> Connecting to GIT server....
Cloning into screenfetch...[0:]: errno=Connection timed out
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Connection timed out)
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build screenfetch-git.
==> Restart building screenfetch-git ? [y/N]

dkorzhevin commented on 2010-07-16 21:56

Thank you for this program, i like it!

KittyKatt commented on 2010-06-17 00:34

I've updated the package to retrieve my from SilverIRC's GIT repository instead of github now, since that is the one I will be actively updating. The GitHub one might stay up, but might at times be up to a full version behind.

KittyKatt commented on 2010-04-03 18:40

I think I found your error. Try it again.

akurei commented on 2010-04-03 17:37
