There is a dependency on libjpeg. When building in a container I have got an error, please add this dependency. fatal error: jpeglib.h: No such file or directory #include <jpeglib.h>

The upstream URL in the description appears to be gone (http://code.google.com/p/skippy-xd/). Isn't the current upstream URL https://github.com/penguinpowernz/skippy-xd ?

The version is automatically updated in the PKGBUILD when you run makepkg. This may help to understand: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/42618/whats-up-with-git-date-packages-in-the-aur

Hi guys, There's a pull request upstream: https://github.com/richardgv/skippy-xd/pull/44 (maybe reported by you?) I think we should wait a few days...

I can confirm the issue: skippy-xd: error while loading shared libraries: libgif.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Can you please patch the PKGBUILD? Thanks ahead!

current build is broken with the newest version of giflib, but can be fixed with this patch: http://pastebin.com/tzz0gHJz

Hi rabies. Thanks. PKGBUILD updated.

giflib needs to be added to the list of dependencies; build fails without it
