Hello, I have blank screen with the recent update of electron to version 18. I had to downgrade to version 17 to keep it working.

The error is the following:

Error sending from webFrameMain: Error: Render frame was disposed before WebFrameMain could be accessed at EventEmitter.n.send (node:electron/js2c/browser_init:165:417) at EventEmitter.b.send (node:electron/js2c/browser_init:161:2494) at /usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:281:6544 at Array.forEach (<anonymous>) at /usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:281:6522 at /usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:122:7146 at /usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:109:22357 at /usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:282:922 at dispatch (/usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:109:19261) at Object.next (/usr/lib/slack/app.asar/dist/main.bundle.js:343:73451)

Thanks.

@RubenKelevra It's listed as a beta from Slack themselves.

@darkbasic I couldn't tell you since I don't package Electron apps often, sorry.

Hi, is there anything preventing this package from running on a foreign architecture like ppc64le (except system electron which must be compiled for that architecture)? Does it use any other native Node.js addon module?

I think the package description is wrong. This isn't a beta version of Slack

For anyone having issues to sign in to the app with Google SSO, try to login through firefox instead of chrome. The callback to the app from chrome triggers the app but does nothing for me. From Firefox this works as expected (though opening new instances but you may close all and restart the app and all spaces will be there).

Co-maintainers wanted.

Apparently Slack has a way to verify packages, but they're deb and rpm specific. If you would like for the PKGBUILD to verify sources, you are welcome to submit a patch that painlessly verifies the .deb without too many dependencies.

It's time to boot, do your boot ROMs know where your disk controllers are?

@braderhart I think we're running into the same issue. The problem appears to be that the script wrapping "app.asar" via "exec electron" (https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/slack.sh?h=slack-electron) somehow confuses Slack and makes it open new instances instead of reusing the existing one.

If you don't know what game you're playing, don't ask what the score is.
