Thank you very much for your quick reply!

No, I did not report upstream. I wasn't sure if it mightn't be a problem on my end. Since you think it could be an upstrem issue, I will report the problem there. Thanks again!

Edit: Issue reported upstream: https://github.com/xyz2tex/svg2tikz/issues/246

@j82, might be an upstream issue that they just have not tested building the documentation with their tooling -- have you reported upstream?

I am unable to install the latest update from version 3.3.4.r626.20251129.72efc44-1 to version 3.3.4.r626.20251129.72efc44-2 with AUR helper rua. Installation of the old version with rua worked fine.

When trying to run "rua upgrade", the end of the output is

At the end, I am expected to input something, which I think is a mistake. Could it be that svg2tikz.tex contains an illegal character?

I'd appreciate help to get rua to install the update successfully.

Ahoj @r00tr4t,

I do not understand what do you report about.

You somehow report about debug packages, but this is not a debug package.

If you want to have a debug package you need to make your own PKGBUILD.

Regards!

Tried to install this package but got some errors: The first error:

loading packages...
error: '/var/cache/pacman/pkg/python-inkex-debug-1.3.1-1-any.pkg.tar.zst': could not find or read package

Was solved by installing python-inkex from AUR. Then when I tried again I got:

loading packages...
error: '/var/cache/pacman/pkg/svg2tikz-git-debug-3.3.0+6.r566.20250303.40e3e05-1-any.pkg.tar.zst': could not find or read package

So I checked the /var/cache/pacman/pkg folder and it did not contain any svg2tikz debug file.

Any advises?

Ahoj @carlosal1015,

after add these as makedependency compiles fine.

thanks for notifying. I added those to makedepends.

carlosal1015 commented on 2024-12-13 23:29 (UTC)

Hi @dreieck, - texlive-binextra contains latexmk, - texlive-latexrecommended contains cmap.sty, - texlive-fontsrecommended contains tgtermes.sty - texlive-latexextra contains fncychap.sty

after add these as makedependency compiles fine.

↗ Upstream states that only inkex and lxml are direct dependencies.

So maybe missing dependencies should be directed to python-inkex and python-lxml?

Regards!

Yes, I do have it on python3.11

And if your python version is 3.12 then it won't find inkex.

Is your Python version on 3.12, or 3.11 (python --version)?

I have ↗ asked upstream.

I mean, I removed everything on ~/.cache and updated again. I've just done it again, but I don't know if that's what you mean by rebuilding it.
