src/unix.c:23:18: fatal error: pcap.h: No such file or directory #include <pcap.h> ^ compilation terminated. Requires libpcap as a dependency

As arzeth said two months ago, the PKGBUILD has a typo, it's missing the double colon in the export CONTROL_SOCKET='/run/tcpcryptd.control' line.

I have error: ./config.h:177:34: error: expected expression before ‘/’ token #define TCPCRYPTD_CONTROL_SOCKET /run/tcpcryptd.control I fixed it by changing export CONTROL_SOCKET=/run/tcpcryptd.control to export CONTROL_SOCKET='"/run/tcpcryptd.control"'

added logic to create the user

This package appears to require a tcpcryptd user, but doesn't create it.

I don't use this anymore, so I'm disowning it. Gaming4JC, you can have this if you want. I noticed a few issues with your PKGBUILD though; most notably it installs into /usr/local instead of /usr, which violates Arch packaging standards. I'm not sure what you mean about my site with the systemd patch being MIA; there's no patch, it's just unit and config files which are included with the package, which you can download with the tarball. Looks like they will require some updates though; might be easiest to just convert it to Type=oneshot and run the launcher script.

This was in major need of update, so I've adjusted the PKGBUILD for anyone interested. http://pastebin.com/DFyKHENk The systemd integration is gone since mutantmonkey's site is MIA and I don't have that patch. This works pretty easily though, just run "sudo launch_tcpcryptd.sh" from terminal after installing.

Good news everyone, tcpcrypt is back, a new draft was published and git was updated to conform to that. IETF will be considering tcpcrypt for standardization again. Please just drop the fix_automake.patch and things will work. :)

add this to prepare() after patching cd user autoreconf -fi

Gaming4JC: Yeah, try with the latest package, I updated the automake patch.
