As mentioned in @seyn6gk's comment

Without changing anything, since teamviewer 13 a desktop environment/login with display manager like lightdm/sddm/gdm is required.

startx users can follow workaround mentioned in @r7v s comment

r7v commented on 2022-06-07 14:49 (UTC)

Workaround for startx

Create drop-in /etc/systemd/system/getty@tty1.service.d/getty@tty1.service-drop-in.conf with

[Service]
Environment=XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11

have the same problem... have remouved this version and I use v11.0.67687 (tar.xz) to https://www.teamviewer.com/fr/download/linux/ : it work perfectly

I had the same connection problem "Not ready. Please check your connection", but it was related to Xorg. I recommend uninstalling gdm and execute gnome with startx to see the error. It was resolved by removing the .conf files in /etc/X11

Gnome DE: "Not ready. Please check your connection" Cinnamon DE: OK XFCE DE: OK Edit: "Start TeamViewer with system" and "Close to tray" options are not working. Edit: No TeamViewer options are working. Edit: Start TV in the tray workaround: wmctrl -c 'Computers & Contacts' && wmctrl -c 'TeamViewer'

Why not using http://download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_amd64.deb for x86_64 builds?

Same problem here after upgraded gnome-shell, but it is working fine under KDE plasma.

"Not ready. Please check your connection". Downloading the tar.zx and running it from homedir is a workaround.

Same problem as el.Quero: "Not ready. Please check your connection".

Hi, I've noticed that this Teamviewer package ships a version that don't work: after opening it reports the error message "Not ready. Please check your connection" near the bottomleft windows corner. The build downloaded from the teamviewer official site works without any issue. Maybe this package uses the wrong teamviewer version because the urls are different: the one I've used is https://download.teamviewer.com/download/teamviewer_i386.deb. Do you have the same issue?

@swiftgeek Why do you ignore comments about non-working remote control? Please replace libxtst with lib32-libxtst in depends_x86_64 section.

Please reset the pkgrel back to 1 when bumping the pkgver variable.
