As mentioned in @seyn6gk's comment

Without changing anything, since teamviewer 13 a desktop environment/login with display manager like lightdm/sddm/gdm is required.

startx users can follow workaround mentioned in @r7v s comment

r7v commented on 2022-06-07 14:49 (UTC)

Workaround for startx

Create drop-in /etc/systemd/system/getty@tty1.service.d/getty@tty1.service-drop-in.conf with

[Service]
Environment=XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11

ops sorry for flagging out-of-date, I thought the version number is in sync with the windows version

pschichtel commented on 2016-05-30 20:20 (UTC)

Seems to be related to the wine upgrade to 1.9.11

Hello Yes exact the same here $ teamviewer Init... XRandRWait: No value set. Using default. XRandRWait: Started by user. Checking setup... Launching TeamViewer ... Launching TeamViewer GUI

With an up-to-date Arch installation the current version doesn't seem to launch successfully anymore: $ teamviewer Init... XRandRWait: No value set. Using default. XRandRWait: Started by user. Checking setup... Launching TeamViewer ... Launching TeamViewer GUI ... However the GUI never shows up. Is anyone else having this issue? I made sure to restart teamviewerd at least once, moved ~/.teamviewer for a fresh configuration and killed all related processes.

The fonts look pretty awful by default in Teamviewer. Does anyone have any suggestions for making them look better?

I am running into the same issue as @NJCS below: No remote control is possible in the machine where this is installed on. Connection is setup OK, but no kb/mouse input is detected. EDIT: Following @jungliztik 's solution below, I installed lib32-libxtst and restarted the teamviewer daemon. Everything is working now. I believe this package should be a required dependency.

@swiftgeek: OK, then the problem is in the other PKGBUILD. And in fact, as I tried to install lib32-libjpeg6 package, I got lib32-libjpeg6-turbo: $ sudo pacman -S lib32-libjpeg6 warning: lib32-libjpeg6-turbo-1.4.2-1 is up to date -- reinstalling So OK, no general problem.
