I am unable to install, I get
:: unresolvable package conflicts detected
:: failed to prepare transaction (conflicting dependencies: todoist)
 when I run "pacaur -Syu todoist"

Renamed binary to todoist-cli due to users' requests.

When submitting such requests please consider also submitting a patch fixing a problem it will expedite the process.

Some cons of renaming binary to todoist-cli:

  • Broken workflow for existing users

  • Maintenance burden as scripts in the original repo depends on package name (autocompletion scripts)

  • ATM I am not an active user so testing of these changes may not be sufficient.

Please consider renaming this to todoist-cli to follow convention. As it stands it's not usable, since it conflicts with todoist binary (and the main app is called todoist after all)

You can't install this and the todoist-appimage package at the same time.

this package has a naming conflict with the todoist-appimage aur package. Since it's closer to the original, intended experience and this is a CLI wrapper, I think it would be appropriate for this package to install to a location other than /usr/bin/todoist/ so users can install both packages.

I'd like to disagree, todoist-appimage is gui application, so renaming the executable and providing .desktop file is easier because it doesn't require script updates of any kind. On other hand cli users may already have existing scripts in place which would require an update once /usr/bin/todoist is renamed.

dep is definitely not needed anymore, can this package be updated?

upstream uses go modules now, that means that dep package should not be needed to build

Thank you for making this. Any chance we can get the package updated? The current version (0.13.1) is prone to unusability (see https://github.com/sachaos/todoist/issues/95).
