I updated it to 4.8.0, thx for the hint!

Changelog here: https://tonelib.net/news/updates/tl-gfx-4-8-0-update.html

I can't test this properly as I'm not using it anymore and the UI somehow gets stuck on Wayland/Sway.

So feel free to test it. And if you'd like to take over package maintenance, just tell me ;-)

no I didn't, I just manually ran sha256 on the .deb file and replaced the hash in the PKGBUILD file. I don't know if the maintainer already contacted the folks over at tonelib but I did leave them a message asking if they could add a sha256 sum to the download page, or reflect the version in the file name that way it would be possible to automate this process.

I just updated this to version 4.3.3. There is no proper way to get informed about upstream changes as the package name just stays the same. So the best way are your comments about PKGSUM failures as they indicate an upstream change, Thanks for that!

In case you want to get your local package to build again, you may delete the local deb file, execute makepkg -si and update the local PKGBUILD with updpkgsums

@zee have you tried to install it after deleting the downloaded ToneLib-GFX-amd64.deb? For me it was in /var/tmp/pamac-build-vasilis/tonelib-gfx-bin/ (replace path with your username).

this version still fails to validate ToneLib-GFX-amd64.deb for me. The correct expected hash is:

@hydragravity: thanks for the details, but hopefully your desktop environment shouldn't affect the PKGSUM ;-)

There was an upstream update of the binary, so I updated the package, for reference:

sha256sum ToneLib-GFX-amd64.deb
63af62a56b6dca3de73a91c7c0e5320aecc31c2bd588491114144b26d208b7e1 ToneLib-GFX-amd64.deb

So please try again

tonelib-gfx-bin 4.3.0-1 fails to install for the same reason as mentioned for previous versions. "ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! Failed to build tonelib-gfx-bin" . Removing ToneLib-GFX-amd64.deb not solving the issue. Here is my setup: Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.66.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 Kernel Version: 5.4.17-1-MANJARO OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz Memory: 7,7 GiB of RAM
