Works for me, using the following configuration: * Installed helper/fix package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/fontconfig-ttf-ms-fonts/ * XFCE font settings: http://www.darose.net/XFCEFontSettings.png * Chromium font settings: http://www.darose.net/ChromiumFontSettings.png

The package changed my chromium font, now looks weird. I removed the package, but I still have the same weird font. I'm trying to clear/update the fonts cache, but it didn't solve the problem. Any suggestion to go get back the original font?

Wondering if otf-texgyre and ttf-comic-neue and such could sub (partially or wholly) for ttf-ms-fonts using fontconfig rules like https://weirdfellow.wordpress.com/2010/07/20/linux-font-substitutions/ What really are the current closest approximations to core MS fonts in Linux FOSS?

Everything in the AUR requires base-devel. It's assumed to be installed.
