@cagprado Yeah, sorry, I went ahead and updated my comment to be Vyper instead of Hyper, LOL. I am not in China, but the United States. Should I have to do this even if I'm not in China?

@archetypalsxe You mean you are trying VyprVPN right? I don’t know of any HyprVPN.

Are you in China? If you are, you need to configure vyprvpn manually using your network manager as explained in their website. While still connected to the VPN then you can use: vyprvpn l to login, then you should refresh your configuration: vyprvpn r finally you can disable the VPN in your manager and try to connect with the daemon: vyprvpn c

Otherwise, you’ll get status 400 or timeout everytime!

The logs are accessible via systemd.

Cheers,

Hello, I'm shopping around for a new VPN and thought that I would give VyprVPN a try. I keep receiving the following error message when I try to connect however:

"Error: Received status 400 from VyprVPN management service. Server connect request failed Received status 400 from VyprVPN management service. Server connect request failed"

I start up the daemon and login correctly, but then when I try to connect to any of the servers I get the error above. I tried at least 10 different servers, confirmed that my password was correct by logging into my account, confirmed that my subscription was active, and tried to connect with all of the available protocols with no luck. Couldn't find where logs were being dumped or a verbose setting, so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this any further.

Please & thank you for any assistance in advance!

@gantner Thank you for figuring it out! I was traveling… I‘m sorry for not having replied earlier! Cheers

Ah - the service has to be started first. on Arch - 'systemctl start vyprvpn' or older ubuntu might be 'service vyprvpn start' and then running 'vyprvpn login' works as expected

@NZCyrus - I am also experiencing this issue. Same steps and same result.

I have activated my account with VyprVPN and then tried to login with 'vyprvpn login'. I am asked for a password after entering my username, but I get 'Login failed!'. Both username and password are correct. Anyone else getting this error?
