@amish yes it does, that's the point of the depends in the makepkg file. It will install dependencies it needs or should have before installing the package otherwise this issue happens.

I do also manage my own packages on the AUR

amish commented on 2020-03-24 08:11 (UTC)

@gameslayer - those are already there in depends. That is why it is reporting that "Missing dependencies".

Makepkg will not auto-download and install packages

@amish you need to add perl-authen-pam and perl-encode-detect to the depends in the makepkg file of if it is there why isn't it downloading it with the rest of the dependencies when you go to install it?

Also might want to tell users that the directory for the password change file ect is in the /opt/webmin because all documentations say that they are in different folders

amish commented on 2020-03-24 07:27 (UTC)

@gameslayer. That means you need to install those packages first.

EDIT: I removed it (pacman -Rscn), and reinstalled it and now it's working... so far.

uhmm... after updating to 1.940 I did get a kernel panic, and cpu stalling and a lot of errors that I do not understand, I was able to catch something up on the screen: watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 23s! [minisv.pl:591]

If more information is needed, you will have to teach me how to get it :P

this compiles perfectly well for armv7l and aarch64 on raspberry pi!!!

Just in case it is of use to others, and I know Archlinux doesn't support it, but this compiles perfectly well for aarch64 architecture as well as X86_64.
