I've installed the latest version of perl, pam and perl-authen-pam prior to installing webmin. When I try to start webmin, I get the following error about pam. There is one other that seems to be having the same issue: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=225986 Jun 24 11:58:35 banshee systemd[1]: Starting Webmin... Jun 24 11:58:35 banshee start[15588]: Starting Webmin server in /opt/webmin Jun 24 11:58:35 banshee start[15588]: IPv6 support cannot be enabled without the Socket6 perl module Jun 24 11:58:35 banshee start[15588]: PAM use is mandatory, but could not be enabled! Hello, amish. There is a problem after updating perl packets, something wrong with the PAM.c: loadable library and perl binaries. Yes, you're right - changing CRAM-MD5 to Plain fixed the problem! Thanks! And is it possible (maybe in the future) to add the feature like "Software Package Updates" with the e-mail notifications? Cause it's very useful for updating the server (that I have on debians).

I have webmins on debian servers and all is fine. The trouble is in the Arch version. SMTP server is only sendmail (from aur), saslauthd.service is active and running. I leave only one line in file /etc/sasl2/Sendmail.conf - pwcheck_method:saslauthd - the same error. Thanks anyway..

So, I installed sendmail from aur, create a file in /etc/sasl2/ (I copied it from /etc/webmin and I tried to copy from /etc/mail/) - the same error =(
