@Kresimir: ympd works fine on RaspberryPi, as the error says you are missing the strip binary. It's provided by the package binutils which is part of the group base-devel, a pre requisite to build AUR packages. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository#Prerequisites

In response to m040601's comment on 2019-03-10 01:28 ...
Your proposal to prepare an AUR package of myMPD sounds interesting.

This package (ympd and ympd-git) won't build on RaspberryPi (armv6h):
[ympd-git]$ makepkg -si
==> ERROR: Cannot find the strip binary required for object file stripping>p>

The last update from the developer was almost a year ago, on March 2018, https://github.com/notandy/ympd

In the mean time, there is now a very well maintaned and active fork called myMPD, https://github.com/jcorporation/myMPD

It adds interesting new features and is still written in C, utilizing Websockets and Bootstrap/JS.

The guys at DietPi and Archphile (Archlinux ARM for the raspberry pi) already changed to it in July 2018, https://archphile.org/blog/mympd-packages-for-archphile-09973-alpha-repost/

An AUR package for this shouldn't be much different than this one. Any interest ?

@m45t3r you are right, thanks for reporting. I'll fix this during the weekend.

You need to change line 17, from:

mkdir build && cd build;

to:

mkdir -p build && cd build;

Because mkdir fails if you try to build this package twice, and since there is a "&&" the "cd" is not executed, running "cmake" in the wrong directory. Or simply, does not add "&&" between commands and put mkdir and cd in different lines.

@3onyc I don't know how but your last comment went completely unnoticed. I updated ympd to the latest version which should fix that bug and added both arm architectures to the PKGBUILD.

Please add 'armv6h' and 'armv7h' to the list of available archs, thanks!

IMPORTANT: ympd 1.2.3 has a bug in the command line arguments: https://github.com/notandy/ympd/commit/9728aae69c95592ab54c69a88186324907a8d0ff

The latest version (ympd-git) has the fix included.

Seems like the path of the EnvironmentFile changed, maybe you should write a .install file for the next release.
