I have 6 3tb 7200rpm disks in a raid-z2 configuration and I did notice my scrub time went from 4 hours to 5 hours. Since this runs at 3am, it doesn't affect me at all.

Rogge commented on 2015-04-14 18:14 (UTC)

@kerberizer: It's a pool of two raid-z2 with 10x Seagate NAS 4TB 5900rpm drives each, so 20 disks in total.

@Rogge, 2GB/s is a very unusual speed for a scrub, I believe. After all, ZFS needs to read *all* data from the vdevs to check it for corruption. What devices do you use and what's the configuration of your pool? @lockheed, do you still experience your problem? If you do, could you please open a thread on the forums?

Rogge commented on 2015-04-11 22:39 (UTC)

Scrubbing speed went down from ~2GB/s to ~640MB/s. Anyone else experiencing this?

@puithove - thanks for the suggestion. However... basically your reasoning is that I installed and configured ZFS on my Arch system without checking out the Arch wiki page on ZFS, and then, when I encountered this issue, instead of going to the Arch wiki in the first place to solve my problem in one minute, I went out of my way to talk to developers directly. Well… This is not what happened.

Noctem commented on 2015-04-11 03:46 (UTC)

Nevermind my previous comment, apparently the issue was related to USB Attached SCSI. Disabling UAS for the drive in question has allowed it (and ZFS) to work properly on the current kernel.

@lockheed - There's an archwiki article on ZFS: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ZFS - pay special attention to the Automatic Start section.

Repo is updated with the new packages, and the dependency issue is gone. Thank you!

Hi demizer. First of all - thank you for your work. I started using ZOL just yesterday so I do not know whether the problem was introduced by 0.6.4, but after reboot my pools remain undetected. Here is detailed discussion form ZOL irc channel. However, people there are not familiar with systemd so perhaps you will be more competent in this respect. http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=gSfn8tHB

@everyone. I will be updating the packages at 6:30PDT. ZOL 0.6.4 was released today! Not sure why we are getting the dependency issues yet. :(
