Instead of removing the cache, you can use the --rebuild flag (supported by both yay and paru). However this is currently broken in yay. See here: https://old.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/136uxj8/python_311_is_in_the_repos_now_o/jiqko8o/

@jose1771

Thank you,

rm -rf ~/.cache/yay/brickv

And a reinstall helped as well.

As a paru user I had to do this:

rm -rf .cache/paru/clone/brickv/ && paru -S brickv

Afterwards the package was properly rebuilt for Python 3.11.

Got the same problems as before, brickv stopped working on up-to date Arch system: Could not import brickv. Please make sure that brickv is installed properly. If you want to start brickv from source, you should directly call "python main.py".

The current Python version is 3.11.

I removed all packages depending on Python 3.10, reinstalled brickv, no success.

There are still some python 3.10 specific bug in 2.4.20. Those will be fixed with the next release soon.

Edit: Fixed.

@TwentyoneThree

you'll simply need to reinstall all packages depending on python 3.9. to find them run:

pacman -Qqo /usr/lib/python3.9

@TwentyoneThree Sure, the .desktop file should be available now.

Would it it be possible to provide a .desktop file for brickv in this package? Thx!
