Would provides= really conflict with the original package though? Isn't it replaces= (and conflicts=) which does that? But yeah, the other way would be to edit the package manually. Would be neat if there was an easier way though. :b

@Zom - I had it configured like that but some discussion on the forums and some conflicts led me to remove the provides array. What I do is to simply edit the .PKGINFO file within the virtualbox package and remove the deps=linux-headers entry. I asked Ionut about it removing the line in the official package but he hasn't answered me yet.

Could you add provides=linux-${pkgver} to both the headers and the image? Things like virtualbox seems to depend on linux-headers and it'd be nice to be able to completely replace the stock kernel and headers. :)

Almost forgot to mention that Paolo hasn't released a BFQ for the 3.0 series yet so this package is shipping without it! I have the relevant section in the build function commented out so even if users enable it in the options, it won't build.

Enjoy, all. Building up the repo now.

-ck for 3.0 is ready: http://ck-hack.blogspot.com/2011/08/300-ck1-and-bfs-for-300.html Looking forward to the update. Thanks for maintaining these packages. :)

@jr - the linux-ck packages will replace the kernel26-ck packages once ck and paolo get their patchsets released. As it stands, this package doesn't have either in it, but is in the AUR as a placeholder.

do you plan to build a "linux-ck" package in the repo as before "kernel26-ck" package? the repo is so convenient and useful. hope to see the linux-ck in the repo. thanks.

For info, patch is in the works: http://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2011-August/021165.html

Updated to match the changes in http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/log/linux/trunk that were just commit to [testing] (minus the bfs and bfq patches of course). If folks want to d/l and build this PKG which will give the same kernel as the official ARCH kernel for testing purposes and provide feedback, that would be great. I ran into an odd issue with grub2 that I can't explain.
