@S1G1 could you report your observations upstream?

@quininer: I could get it to compile again a few times after switching to "source=('git+https://github.com/paritytech/parity.git#branch=stable')" I'm not exactly sure what the problem was but I'm okay with running the latest stable git version - or switching to the built package. Thanks

@S1G1 Compile parity requires a lot of memory, you can install https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/parity/.

I'm having trouble building the latest git version --> fatal runtime error: allocator memory exhausted error: Could not compile parity. Is this an upstream error?

Doesn't build since ethcore changed their repo names. Quick fix is to run a find/replace on the PKGBUILD source/url lines and replace 'ethcore' with 'paritytech'

@Spider.007 OK, thanks you. :)

Can you remove the dependency on python-pytoml and use this oneliner instead? echo $(grep '^version =' Cargo.toml|head -n1|cut -d\" -f2).$(git rev-list --count HEAD)

Does not install anymore. :: Installing parity-git package(s)... :: parity-git package(s) failed to install. Check .SRCINFO for mismatching data with PKGBUILD.

Sorry, for some reason, I can't login AUR. Now it should work.

pkgver is working for me, however, it looks like something is missing from the version string: ==> Finished making: parity-git .4589-1 (Mon Jun 27 12:03:50 CEST 2016)
