You can add epoch=1 in PKGBUILD.

Used to force the package to be seen as newer than any previous version with a lower epoch. This value is required to be a non-negative integer; the default is 0. It is used when the version numbering scheme of a package changes (or is alphanumeric), breaking normal version comparison logic. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PKGBUILD

I updated the package to use the latest official release. It also builds now from source.

Note that it follows now naming conventions, so you might see this when updating:

pcstat: local (2014_05_02-1) is newer than AUR (0.0.2-1)

If you want to update, you have to force it.

If this package downloads binary directly, maybe the package name should be "pcstat-bin" ? I think the pcstat package is more suite for download the source file and compile it.
