Huh. For some reason, when I first applied this change (it was straightforward, yes), I got another bunch of failed tests with no obvious cause or fix.
But now the failures magically disappeared.
Anyhow, I just pushed the -2 with Python ≥3.12 compat. Thanks for another ping.

The fix is pretty straightforward in config.py there is SafeConfigParser which was removed in Python 3.12 after being deprecated prior - just replace with ConfigParser

@hashworks Yes, something broke very recently. The project seems very poorly maintained upstream, I'll try to patch it up.
