Looks like a lot of ROS packages have been repackaged to remove the pkgver & patch version from the src directory name so the current checksum and _dir are:

sha256sums=('5b00e3a18b7fe81a82d9e063a49cfe6b54b03822d536a1f06ed4e51830f5776c') _dir="ros_comm-release-release-melodic-xmlrpcpp"

Hi, I am also getting that the sha256sum is not passing, could someone please fix?

If not working, try git reset --hard HEAD~1

@firatakandere yes that was the correct sha256, thanks.

Now i'm getting an error: /home/sarah/.cache/yay/ros-melodic-xmlrpcpp/src/ros_comm-release-release-melodic-xmlrpcpp-1.14.3-0: No such file or directory

The directory in /src/ is "ros_comm-release-release-melodic-xmlrpcpp" not "ros_comm-release-release-melodic-xmlrpcpp-1.14.3-0" appending the -1.14.3-0 to the file name in src allowed it to build finally

Correct sha256 is probably 5b00e3a18b7fe81a82d9e063a49cfe6b54b03822d536a1f06ed4e51830f5776c
