The threema.desktop file is invalid again:

Categories=Categories=Network;InstantMessaging;Chat;

is one Categories= too much.

Update 1.2.40-4 should resolve the caching issues (by temporarily including the pkgrel in the filename).

Deleting threema-web-electron-v1.2.40.tar.gz in the cache of pacaur fixed this for me.

Replacing tagged and released versions is really bad practice by the upstream authors.

@chrys87: Did you already upgrade the package to 1.2.40-2? That should fix it.

The release tag was updated (see https://github.com/threema-ch/threema-web-electron/pull/9#issuecomment-1893266172), which resulted in a checksum change.

(The only reason why this AUR package previously worked in spite of the wrong submodule, was the fact that it downloads the threema-web dependency explicitly.)

Please change

Categories=Social Media;

to

Categories=Network;InstantMessaging;

in threema.desktop otherwise it lands in uncategorized.

These categories are standardized. https://specifications.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/latest/apa.html

jfbourdeau: The nodejs-lts-iron package is very new. Did you update your repository sources (pacman -Sy)? Manjaro is sometimes a bit delayed with new packages, maybe wait a few days. Or download and build nodejs-lts-iron yourself.

As buzo wrote, the AUR is the Arch User Repository, if there are issues with Manjaro, you can ask in the Manjaro support forums.

Sorry, jfbourdeau, this as Arch Linux, and other distributions are not really supported here. If nodejs-lts-iron is missing from Manjaro, please ask there for support.

When trying to install 1.2.39-3 I get : could not satisfy dependencies: - unable to satisfy dependency 'nodejs-lts-iron' required by threema-desktop

Using Manjaro PLasma.
