Issue not related to archuseriso. AFAIK that's the normal behavior on Arch Linux. Hint: Close your session after changing the hostname and open a new one.

After using command "sudo hostnamectl hostname [name]" system is unable to open new applications. Already opened applications will still run fine and user interface itself is unaffected, but any new applications won't open until reboot. Command itself works and changes hostname. Steps to reproduce: boot new system from an image, open terminal and use command "sudo hostnamectl hostname abc" I tested it in Virtualbox with aui-deepin-linux_5_17_1-0330-x64.iso, aui-mate-linux_5_17_1-0330-x64.iso and aui-gnome-linux_5_17_1-0330-x64.iso with 4GB RAM and 8GB disk images and got same results everywhere.

Thanks- built flawlessly... maybe it was the keyserver

That's not an package issue. The keyserver of your gnupg configuration may be down or something. To retrieve the required public key use a different keyserver.

A typical command would be:

gpg --keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-keys FAC4560863BEEC34

I tried to reproduce the problem and built an iso using the same method you describe. Built AUR linux-mainline 5.6rc2-1, added package to pkglocal then built an iso.

The problem doesn't seem related to archuseriso, for an unknown reason :

  • Booting the iso in a virtual machine fails

  • Creating a live usb from the iso and booting from it works

Hello, this version working with 5.5.x kernels yet, but problem with 5.6rc1 kernel. :( If you edit the PKGBUILD of linux-mainline 5.6.rc1 and rename it to linux, after compiled pkg name will linux-5.6.rc1*zst. When you move it pkglocal directory, this config install it to actual build, but not booting. :(
