@mizzunet According to https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Prerequisites

Note: Packages in the AUR assume that the base-devel group is installed, i.e. they do not list the group's members as build dependencies explicitly.

you should consider install base-devel, which should contain the tools you needed

Hi, thx a lot for maintaining this package !

I stumbled over the recent update of core/nettle, since this has bumped a shared object library (libnettle.so.{6.5,7.0}), causing aria2c to fail at runtime. However, rebuilding aria2-fast against nettle 3.5.1 solves the issue.

Maybe you could increase the pkgrel to indicate that a rebuild is necessary when a user updates their system ?

Cheers !

@pandada8 I've fixed it, I was blocking the multicast port so I've opened it in the firewall. Thanks!!

@pandada8 thanks I'll try.

@ryansito no problem here BTW, this patch would not let the test fail, try rebuild or build the original "aria2" package to see if any test failed

ryansito commented on 2016-01-10 03:29 (UTC)

Won't build for me with a check error. Fails compilation (surprise, surprise): If you have the time go in to whatever directory it was being built and in the cool testsuite file that has such explicit detail you see this: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 03/30 06:15:15 [DEBUG] priority=999999 url=http://base/dir/example.ext .................Exception: [metalink_helper.cc:152] errorCode=20 Could not parse Metalink XML document. .Exception: [metalink_helper.cc:152] errorCode=20 Could not parse Metalink XML document. .............. ##Failure Location unknown## : Error Test name: aria2::LpdMessageDispatcherTest::testSendMessage uncaught exception of type aria2::DlAbortEx - Failed to set a socket option, cause: No such device LpdMessageReceiverTest.cc:34:Assertion Test name: aria2::LpdMessageReceiverTest::testReceiveMessage assertion failed - Expression: rcv.init("") Failures !!! Run: 972 Failure total: 2 Failures: 1 Errors: 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So what XML document are we looking for that needs to be parsed (not familiar with any website calling itself "base")? Who knows must be a magic one that appears at random depending on whether you scratched your ass before compiling. Maybe it's trying to reach an external site? Might be kinda hard if you ignore my proxy settings, yes http_ and https_ have been set for half a year now. Funny this compiled no problem the first time under these same exact conditions (machine config not changed). I'm lovin it!

update patch for version 1.16.x previous patch won't work for this aria2 version Change piece-lenght and min-split size default value because they were to small before
