asusctl depends on power-profiles-daemon, which conflicts with many power management packages like tlp:

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/hadess/power-profiles-daemon#conflicts

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/hadess/power-profiles-daemon/-/blob/main/data/power-profiles-daemon.service.in#L3

I believe the conflict should be marked on power-profiles-daemon itself, not in asusctl, but that package choose to refuse to start the systemd service instead of explicitly mark the packages conflicts.

@labaman Do you have any documentation/bugreport on why/how it conflicts with tlp?

labaman commented on 2022-08-07 12:43 (UTC)

Add "tlp" to conflicts

Please add https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/supergfxctl to optional dependencies
