I have a clean directory with only the files 'PKGBUILD' and 'Bastion-HIB-2012-06-01-1.sh' present, and have no srcdir set in makepkg.conf. It's still reporting that I don't have the proper files for the install. MD5SUM for the .sh file still equals what the PKGBUILD is looking for.

don't set it like that. the .sh should be in the same Directory as the PKGBUILD, and delete src and pkg in that directory as well

I don't, and setting the variable at command line ( srcdir=/home/gilmoreja/bastion makepkg -is ) doesn't help.

gtmanfred commented on 2012-06-08 19:29 (UTC)

you don't happen to have srcdir set in your makepkg.conf?

Using the updated PKGBUILD and moving the 'Bastion-HIB-2012-06-01-1.sh' file up a directory still gives the same result.

gtmanfred commented on 2012-06-08 14:58 (UTC)

sorry, put it the directory above

I can't get this to build. I've put Bastion-HIB-2012-06-01-1.sh in the SRC directory as requested, but the PKGBUILD never finds it; says that I "do not have file required for this install." I've checked MD5SUM for the installer file and it matches up with the MD5SUM expected in the PKGBUILD, so I'm not sure what is going wrong.

# Make executable links. ln -s /usr/share/games/$pkgname/Bastion.bin.$_arch $pkgdir/usr/bin/$pkgname should be (or something with the same effect): # Make executable links. ln -s /usr/share/games/Bastion/Bastion.bin.$_arch $pkgdir/usr/bin/$pkgname

Had a hard time installing that… I first tried "torrent" option, but at the end of the download it just kept uploading, I did not know what to do to continue so I did ctrl+C. Then I copied the file in my home directory in order not to lose it, and I tried installing and copying it in the folder where the package wanted it. But no matter where and when I copied the file, the package did not see it. So I had to re-download it the http way and then it worked. But once installed, it worked just fine :-) (it just won't see my joypad :-/ )
