Don't forget .wad files are coded to /usr/share/games/brutal-doom (doom1.wad, etc.). If you want to point that somewhere else, edit /usr/share/games/brutal-doom/gzdoom.ini. Use 'brutal-doom' to launch. If anyone wants default mods enabled/added, let me know (such as Doom 2016 weapons). Games will save to ~/.config/gzdoom/brutal-doom/<save_name>. For the script error, "brutalv20b.pk3:blood.txt" line 610" see until a patch is implemented here, or fixed otherwise "upstream."

Would it be possible to update the PKGBUILD with new md5sum values so it will build?

Change path for gzdoom to /usr/share/gzdoom please.

punkrockguy318 commented on 2018-05-18 05:32

The /usr/share/games/brutal-doom/gzdoom.ini file references "/usr/share/games/gzdoom" for search path. This should be "/usr/share/gzdoom". After changing this, this package worked out of the box for me.

There does not seem to be a way to load PWADs.

Thanks, I'll update this in the next few days.

Please update this to the Jan02 v21 beta. Also /usr/share/gzdoom should be listed in the [FileSearch.Directories] of gzdoom.ini

zer0def commented on 2018-01-06 06:20

The Jan02 v21 beta seems to be working fine, at least on current GZDoom 3.2.4, so this minor fix to gzdoom.ini ought to do the trick:

Hello, is it possible to change the mirror? It is very slow for me (avg. 23kB/s)
