Today and yesterday I'm getting a server not found for src http://static.allfearthesentinel.net/wads/doommetalvol5.wad

FYI, you will get an error message saying that you need to put WAD files in ~/.config/gzdoom/, but this package changes the config directory to ~/.config/brutal-doom even though the error dialog doesn't say that.

But this package, by default, does not search for WADs inside ~/.config/brutal-doom OR in ~/.config/gzdoom ....

So to get this working, you need to edit ~/.config/brutal-doom/gzdoom.ini and add a WAD directory yourself (e.g. $HOME/WADs). Or you can configure $DOOMWADDIR in your .bashrc.

The default WAD file search locations are:

Path=.
Path=/usr/share/doom
Path=/usr/share/games/doom
Path=/usr/share/games/brutal-doom
Path=$DOOMWADDIR

Gzdooms launcher only shows iwads, Brutal Doom is a pwad. No file editing is necessary if you use the Brutal Doom launcher.

gzdoom manager doesn't recognize brutal-doom even though I've added the required lines to the ini file. It does fine for the registered one and also freedoom 1 and 2. Can you help me out?

@zanny Thank you for that commit. Totally awesome! Working great, rocking the Ancient Aliens WAD brutal style. Also just an FYI if you want to play the the "classic" way without mouselook and still have all the brutal features, open up the brutal doom pk3 and delete the weapon.noautoaim line from each weapon's file. It'll be just like classic doom's auto aim when using a keyboard.
