From quick look this is badly made pkgbuild, please get rid of unused variables in pkgbuild, remove makedeps that are already in base-devel, download using sources array instead of in prepare(), don't use -j with make.

Check() looks a bit nonsensical too.

All of these apply for all your other packages (bux-mariadb-client, bux-sqlite, parsergen).

At last, is there even anyone using these packages? in 5 years since upload noone has even pointed out these pkgbuild flaws (at least publicly), This is the only comment, all have 0 votes. Rule 3 of submission guidelines: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/AUR_submission_guidelines#Rules_of_submission
