Hi @Scimmia,

You should consider changing the:

source=("git://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term.git"
"git://github.com/Swordfish90/qmltermwidget.git")

to:

source=("https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term.git"
"https://github.com/Swordfish90/qmltermwidget.git")

in the PKGBUILD file.

That way the git repositories can be cloned in network installations where the git: protocol is not allowed (usually, workplaces)

The end effect is exactly the same and it will be easier to install the package that way.

Fixed. Dealing with submodules really isn't too bad.

Thanks gim!
Works when compiled from cloned git repository.

It's because QMLTermWidget is now in it's own git repository. README suggests to clone cool-retro-term with --recursive flag.

I can't find a solution for this in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_PKGBUILD_Guidelines so I'm going to disown the package since I have no interest spending more time on it.

Looks like some mainstream change. I'll take a look at it.

Tried to install new version got this:

Makefile:39: recipe for target 'sub-qmltermwidget-make_first-ordered' failed
make: *** [sub-qmltermwidget-make_first-ordered] Error 2

Any help ?

igor_isais, that was mainstream issue and is fixed now, try again. See https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term/commit/0e765e427b1edf1b78a807ee99c64db01250fcf0

lol wow, this brings back some memories. Few bugs though. Selecting the transparent green from the menubar caused a seg fault, going in through the settings works fine. Also with no frame, the menubar appears completely transparent.
