A shoutout to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/discord_arch_electron/ (use that one if you want stable instead of canary!) :p

This is just a PKGBUILD based on the original discord-canary PKGBUILD and the discord_arch_electron PKGBUILD to use with Canary instead.

Discord on the latest version uses Electron 22 by itself. Might be worth using the official version if that is what you're after.

!! As Electron 28 joined the official repos, I've pinned this to electron26 instead, as using Electron 28 results on a crash at startup. If it ever works with Electron 28, please let me know.

As this is an issue with a pkgrel bump in an archlinux's package, it must be reported to https://bugs.archlinux.org, please add hardware and DE information, for reference this is the commit that broke it: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/commit/4e753824a8aaaa511da8060e879f54a5a4578055#diff-3e341d2d9c67be01819b25b25d5e53ea3cdf3a38d28846cda85a195eb9b7203a

I have the same issue. It seems downgrading electron from 16.0.7-2 to 16.0.7-1 fixes the problem

I'm having issues getting this to work with electron v16.0.7, whenever I scroll down anywhere discord crashes. My current fix is to run discord with electron 15, which works fine. If I'm able to get any more debug info I'll post another comment.

Just in case anyone else came to this package to try it- Powercord does not work with this package.
