Starting with 0.0.26-1 (2023-03-31):
  • Switched back to the main electron package (electron22)
  • Watching cameras and streams is working again
Starting with 0.0.20-1 (2022-09-15):
  • Bumped electron16 to electron19 (I still have blocking issues with electron20)
  • Added support for $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/discord-flags.conf: this works like electron-flags.conf, you can set in this file the command line flags you want to pass to electron when running Discord (there are some useful flags in the wiki, especially if you are experiencing lag in the Discord UI).
FAQ

Discord requires an update, but this package isn't yet updated
Check the wiki.

The Discord UI is lagging
Try to add the flags recommended in the wiki in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/discord-flags.conf.

Krisp not working
This is an issue that will likely never be fixed for this package. The Krisp module checks if Discord binaries are signed by Discord, which is not the case with this package.
See this comment and this GitHub issue for more details and possibles workarounds.

watching streams and camera videos crashes discord, happens with hardware acceleration on or off, apart from this there's nothing eye catching in the output: [WebContents] crashed (reason: crashed, exitCode: 139)... reloading

@rctm Sharing and watching streams seems to be broken currently.

Hi, I just built the package, and I'm unable to share screen, any help? It keeps loading... https://i.imgur.com/zA5KQBy.png

Last update to (2022-11-10 / 0.21.0-2):

  • Don't strip package to not break Krisp noise supression. FS#76334 Probably should have been enabled earlier foreign blobs don't like to be stripped.

even with the 0.0.21-2 the dialog for the screen sharing doesn't load

As @e00E reported, this package doesn't have Krisp enabled, though the main Discord package in the repo does due to a recent fix.

It looks like the issue is fixed by adding options=(!strip) to the PKGBUILD

Bug Report

The main discord packages allows using "Krisp" for noise suppression. This is available in the "Voice & Video" settings. This used to only be available on Windows but it works on Linux now.

With this package this option is not available.

@Vendicated @Theodan For what it's worth, this may be worth reworking into a PR for OpenAsar if either of you feel up for that! This seems like functionality they would not mind having.
