I think as well that sdl2_sound-hg should be used instead of sdl_sound-hg. Otherwise dosbox-sdl2 would somehow still depend from an old sdl1 package.

I had to use sdl2_sound-hg to be able to install dosbox-sdl2 because I replaced sdl1 with sdl2_compat12-git/lib32_sdl2_compat12-git.

please fix this build SDL_SOUND_HG doesn't work anymore, however https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sdl2_sound-hg/ works great with a small patch

Here you find the small patch (dirty) and my PKGBUILD maybe putting this together makes sense -> https://github.com/Glog78/dosbox-sdl2

That also means you don't have any conflics cause SDL2_SOUND_HG doesn't conflict currently with anything and you can just name the executable dosbox-sdl2

The shortcut should have:

Exec=dosbox %f

Both of those should be fixed. They were holdovers from the old build process which used upstream SVN + manual patch.

This didn't build for me; I had to remove the three lines from the start of build():

ln -sf /usr/include/SDL/SDL_sound.h SDL_sound.h
export C_INCLUDE_PATH="$srcdir" 
export CPLUS_INCLUDE_PATH="$srcdir"

Why is this being done in the PKGBUILD anyway? SDL_sound.h is already included just fine.
