@mszs the module should be installed via DKMS... Pls show the output of running
sudo dkms status
on your machine.mszs commented on 2022-11-25 14:46 (UTC)
I'm using kernel 5.15.78 on Manjaro. I've tried both evdi and evdi-git. With both I get the same: when I do
sudo modprobe evdi initial_device_count=2
the machine quasi-hangs. I can no longer enter anything in the terminal window where I issued the command, I cannot change windows or desktops. Control-Alt-F2 still works...direc85 commented on 2022-10-05 21:44 (UTC)
Kernel 6.0 compatibility is on its way, but there's a workaround: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/376

Anyone else unable to install this (DKMS error 10) on Kernel version 6.0 and newer? No matter the fork? Is this an upstream issue?

evdi v1.10.0 was officially only released today. So maybe they also release a displaylink non-beta soon.
