Please consider fixing the sums. I'm sure many ppl can fix this for themselves, but at the same time having an AUR package like this that needs user intervention is kind of moot, since it's just easy to run Foobar with an older version of Wine in a Bottle..

Unfortunately it seems to download the 2.1 version currently even when pgkver=2.0
And obviously fails when trying to compare the sha256 sums.
Took a bit of messing around to figure out that it's comparing the x86 versions, and this is v2.1's sha256 sum: 61759ceb561f6a4f8960cb566c0f425ae4aff80170ba54ac2cce5e20e284eec5
Replace the first sha256 sum in the list of sums in the build file, should work then.
EDIT: Ah, as it says in the comments "7z can't open the new 64bit executable yet so for now we'll keep using the legacy 32bit even on 64bit systems" - that's why it's not using the 64 bit version.

When I install this package I get an error when trying to play back .mp3 and .m4a files. I uninstalled the package and installed foobar2000.exe directly from the foobar2000 website, installed it as 'portable' and it worked.
The error that foobar throws is:
Unrecoverable playback error: Unknown error code (0x80040154)

@supermario The wineprefix should be automatically set to windows<8.1, e.g to windows 8.

When starting on a fresh install (no Wine application ever executed), the startup script fails with:
wine: chdir to /home/⟨user⟩/.local/share/wineprefixes/foobar2000 : No such file or directory
With
mkdir -p "$HOME/.local/share/wineprefixes/"
the problem could easily be fixed. Maybe this should go into the script as well.

@Magotchi: and as you can see, the package is currently flagged out of date.
Oh, you filed that request. Carry on.

This currently fails to build because it ultimately downloads a "foobar2000_v1.6.9.exe" file where "foobar2000_v1.6.8.exe" is expected:

foobar2000_v1.6.8.exe ... NOT FOUND

foobar2000.sh ... Passed
foobar2000.png ... Passed

I've found that with wine 6.21 or 6.22 that foobar2000 fails to start: 6.21 0270:err:module:ntdll_init_syscalls syscall count mismatch 0 / 79 6.22 0238:err:module:ntdll_init_syscalls syscall count mismatch 0 / 96
If I rollback Wine to 6.17, it starts fine. I tried with a fresh wineprefix and the behavior was the same.
Has anyone encountered similar?

wget doesn't work directly on the /getfile/ URLs, it just retrieves a redirect page that usually contains a server side generated random ad for one of Spoon's many software products that Peter links to, because he also works for Spoon, who is indirectly sponsoring the development. The actual link is included in the page, which is the same filename on the /files/ path. The makepkg system follows the redirect just fine, somehow. Or maybe it doesn't.

@aliu if you try to download the exe file directly in the sources array the download site returns you an HTML page not the actual executable so we need to do this workaround
all: I have updated this package to use the 64bit executable on 64bit systems now that the upstream 7zip package is able to extract it. If you have problems please report them and I'll rollback to the 32bit executable even on 64bit systems until we can find a fix
