Installed cleanly after the checksum fix. Thanks!

Thanks for the hint! I updated the checksum.

I am having the same validation error. Kindly hope for an update on the package :)

Install failed with a file validation error on-

freefilesync-bin-14.2.tar.gz

I presume this is the issue referred to by @Switch123456789. I'm not sure how to make the necessary changes though.

I had a checksum-mismatch-error, so I calculated them manually. I don't know why they're wrong but I was able to install FFS after applying mine to the build-file like this:

sha256sums=(
    "21ad62ebf8659bb49a27d1cb1ff29fb7073f206a0ebd4c44340a9afa2b7da218"
    "4d05248d5b64f5fb03b8bd08f062c4208757001061125a2f33f84af39344339e"
)

The contents of the regular, donation edition and business edition are identical. To use the donation edition you can install this package and copy your key file to /opt/freefilesync/Resources/Registered.dat like this:

install --mode=644 "FreeFileSync_14.0_[Donation_Edition]_Install.key" "/opt/freefilesync/Resources/Registered.dat"

or add something like this to the PKGBUILD:

    # Install key
    install --mode=644 "$srcdir/FreeFileSync_${pkgver}_[Donation_Edition]_Install.key" "$pkgdir/opt/$_pkgname/Resources/Registered.dat"

This should also work for the business edition, although I haven't tested it.

Thanks for the hint! I added the line as suggested.

Please add the line below at the end of package method to fix icon and category in FreeFileSync-edit-with.desktop.

sed -e 's|X-KDE-Priority=TopLevel|X-KDE-Priority=TopLevel\nIcon=FreeFileSync.png\nCategories=Utility;FileTools;Archiving;|' \
        -i "$pkgdir/usr/share/applications/FreeFileSync-edit-with.desktop"

Problem solved, because my locale LANG was zh_CN.UTF-8. Changed it to en_US.UTF-8 solved my problem.

I cannot delete and change text in all the input box (like "folder path").

I also use KDE and have no issues with it. I wish you the best of luck fixing it.
